Prerequisite
This course is designed for students who have had one year’s coursework in Bengali and can talk, understand, write and read primers and want an introduction to Bengali focusing on extensive use of the written and spoken language.
Course Objectives
Students build on their basic knowledge of Bengali by discussing a variety of cultural topics and themes in the Bengali-speaking world. The focus of the course is on expanding vocabulary, reviewing major grammar topics, developing effective reading strategies and improving listening comprehension.
