Literature in Korean At Cornell
The program seeks to provide a foundation for the study and translation of modern Korean literature.
Students who have completed three years of Korean or are already fluent in Korean can take Korean Literature 4405, a survey of 20th century Korean literature in the original. When there is sufficient student interest, a translation workshop will be offered.
A course in Korean linguistics is also regularly offered at the 4400 level in the Linguistics department.
Directed study is available by permission of an instructor to students engaged in research on a specific topic derived from their previous study in regularly offered literature courses in Asian Studies (ASIAN) and Korean Literature.
Cornell Area Program Afilliation: East Asia Program The East Asia Program represents the faculty of all disciplines at Cornell University devoted to the study of East Asia and provides support for students, library collections, publications, and research and teaching on the societies of China, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam.
