Vietnamese Literature
Vietnamese literature (not in translation) at Cornell is oriented toward pre-alphabetic texts in Han (classical Chinese) and Nom(vernacular Vietnamese character writing). Students will need a good foundation in the Vietnamese language, and knowledge of classical Chinese is very useful but not a prerequisite.
