Kim is the Graduate Field Assistant for the Department of Asian Studies, which includes the fields of Asian Literature, Religion and Culture, an M.A./Ph.D. program; and Asian Studies, an M.A. program. She coordinates all matters related to the graduate fields and oversees the field membership nominations for the faculty. Kim handles processing of academic appointments, academic searches, promotions and tenure reviews. She also serves as payroll representative for the department, and is the back-up of all daily operations. Kim maintains the graduate fields web site and faculty and staff listings on the web site. She is the main department contact with the School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions and oversees the summer session budget activities. She can answer questions on graduate policies and other HR matters.

Kim has been employed with Cornell University since 1992, eight years with the School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions in their accounting unit, and the remaining with the Department of Asian Studies.
