Ann is the administrative manager for the Department of Asian Studies. She oversees and directs
the non-academic administrative operations of the department, including human resources/payroll and
financial matters, course and student support, and other departmental operations. She works closely
with the chair to ensure that the department's operations comply with university policies and
procedures and that proper internal audit controls are in place.
Ann has been employed with Cornell University since 1963, 22 years in the ILR school in both their
academic and extension divisions, and the past 21 years with the College of Arts & Sciences, seven with
the Department of Asian Studies. She has served on several committees both at the college and university
level and most recently served as the Arts & Sciences division representative for the 2006 United Way
campaign.
