It's often cheaper (and sometimes closer) to live off campus. Students can find housing via the Cornell Off Campus Listings page or Housing Solutions, a private company based in Ithaca. Another excellent place to look is at sublets on Cragslist, especially for the summer. Housing Solutions has compiled a helpful list of median rents in the Ithaca area which should help you better assess the cost of living.
