Converting Video to QuickTime (.mov)

  • Converting Web Video to QuickTime in Mac OSX
    MPEG Streamclip is a free program that will allow you to easily convert downloaded video to QuickTime format for editing and use in Teacher Workbooks and online streaming.
  • Exporting Video in QuickTime Pro
    If you are playing a video in Quicktime but it is not Quicktime format (for example, if it is from YouTube), if it is too large a file size, or if it is not the right window size/shape, you need to "export" the video from Quicktime. This will create a new file with the characteristics you need.

    Zamzar is a free on-line file conversion resource that allows you to upload any video file in almost any format (up to 50 MB) to be converted to QuickTime and more. Once your file is converted, you are sent an email with a download link to your new file. Works for both PC and Mac.
