Hilary (she/her) is the Engagement and Outreach Coordinator at the LRC. Prior to joining the LRC team, Hilary was a graduate student and FLAS Fellow at the University of Chicago, where she earned her degree in the Master of Arts Program in the Humanities (MAPH).
Her research interests include modern/contemporary East Asian literature, Mandarin language, traditional East Asian musical instruments, and Japanese aesthetics. In addition to studying international cultures, Hilary's academic work incorporates multimedia arts, such as electronic music, photography, and digital drawing.
For fun, Hilary enjoys watching C-dramas, walking in botanic gardens, experimenting with fibers, fashion, and makeup, and keeping up with her Duolingo streaks.
